5 years ago today I started my life with my best friend, and now I can honestly say that that was the best choice that I could of ever made. Gary is the best for me, he is loving, generous, and the sweetest person I know. I love him with all my heart. And to top all the off, he is the best father ever. Happy Anniversary Honey, you have made me a very happy girl!!!!!

10 years ago: I was finishing up my junior year of high school. I can't really remember that far back but I know I was enjoying be young and hanging with my friends.
5 years ago: I was a week away from getting married. I was in AZ and Gary was in CO and we were desperately missing eachother. You know how that is, missing each other so much that you don't think you can survive another day without that person. :)
5 Months ago: I was living in a tundra of snow and ice. Trying everything that I could do to get warm, but it never seemed to happen. Also trying to keep my kids from going completely crazy and also knowing that we had about 3 more months of this STUFF.
5 Things on my to do list:
1. Finish washing and folding my laundry ( today hopefully)
2. Make dinner
3. Try to go grocery shopping ( I have been trying for about 3 days now)
4. Hang the drapes in my bedroom.
5. Sit down for 2 minutes with out doing anything.

After waiting 2 years and 4 long months, Gary just got his acceptance into Grad school. Last year we were too late in getting his application in, because Gary wasn't sure what Masters he wanted to pursue. Long story short he decided to pursue an MA degree in Applied Linguistics with a concentration in ELL ( English language learners). This time around we were not late, we were very early in getting the application in. This is why we have waited a very long 4 months in finding out their decisison. We were starting to wonder if this is really the path that Gary need to pursue. I was becoming very distraught, thinking to myself that we are going to be VERY poor for the rest of our lives (teacher salary isn't much to boost about).
SO this is why today is a very HAPPY DAY. We got the letter today and it was very good news. It is with the University of Massachusetts/Boston. Before you get all excited and full of wonderment, no we are not moving to Boston. This program is considered "Distance Learning". He will be working in Cohort groups, the same group for the 2 years; primarily over the Internet. This program is not very big and if we didn't do it this way it would require a major move. This way he is still able to teach and participate in getting his master's in lovely Idaho. Gary can learn very well in any setting, and this is the master's he is wanting to get. Starting Fall 2008, I am officially a single mother of 2 kids. I just have to start preparing myself now and then by September I MIGHT be ready. I just wanted to share some good news from our neck of the woods.
We went on our first trip away from home since Thanksgiving this last weekend. It was good to get away and do something different for a change. Gary's older brother was graduating from college and being commissioned in the Army. We went down to Ogden to support and to spend time with family. It was fun for Garon to see his cousins. His boy cousin is almost 2 years older then him, but you can't really still the difference, because Garon is basically his same height and build. They had so much fun together. They had a sleepover for 2 nights. Imagine 4 kids; ages: 3 years, 4 years, and 6 years all in the same room. It was really fun to get them all asleep.
It was really great to see Grandma and Grandpa. Brisa really took to Grandpa. She tried to claim him has her personal assistant in everything that she did. It was really good to spend time the Grandma and Grandpa, especially Grandpa because this is the only Grandpa that my kids really have and they are totally in love with him.
Saturday we got to together with all of Gary's extended family on his Mom's side in Logan. It was a real party with yummy food, a pinata, a trampoline, and a zip line. Garon was a fan of all. Even the zip line, even though it made his mother very nervous I think that was his favorite thing to do by far. He woke up Sunday morning and told us that his "muscles are tired". He used muscles that I am sure he never used before with the zip line and trampoline. It is always fun to experience new things.
All in all we had a great time seeing family and making new memories.
(I am such a horrible person, I never got out my camera, I guess you can call it "LAZY", I'm sorry.)
