Our Journey....

For our ward party we were able to travel with Mary and Joseph. It was so fun dressing up the kids. Garon kept saying that he is ready to go Trick or Treating, because he has his costume on now. We had to explain to him that Halloween is over and it is Christmas time. He was really excited when we told him that we are going to go visit Baby Jesus. We had a really good time. You only get to see the kids, because we never found time to get dressed up ourselves.

I have finally found time.....
Or...I guess I just created some. I have been wanting to get into Digi Scrapbooking for a long time now, but never had a photoshop program or the knowledge to do so. Well thanks to my in-laws, I was able to get the program. Then the road block was knowledge and time. Well the knowledge finally came to me and I guess I create time (in other words, I neglect other things like, housekeeping, and have fun on my computer) I really enjoy it and am having such a blast. I made a promise to myself that I would not start any of Brisa's pages until I have a good chunk of Garon's done. So this sample of layouts only protray Garon.

Brisa's Birthday Cake that I made
Even though Brisa's B-day is today we had a family B-day party yesterday. Brisa has been sick, but she sure did a good job at trying to enjoy her birthday party. Not many smiles, but I think some pictures are pretty cute though. The pictures really tell everything. Garon was a big help in opening up Brisa's presents and playing with Brisa's gifts. He doesn't care that mainly all of them are extremely girly colors. We love birthdays around here.

Mica (pronounced Mee-cka) joined our family yesterday. She is a 3-month-old Border Collie--or so we are told. Our online research suggests that she does not have the right coloring and her hair is too short to be a true Border Collie. The two teenage boys who were giving her away outside of the local grocer were certain, however, that both of her parents were Border Collies. Whether she is a mixed breed or a pure blood, so far she has been a good addition to the family--very cuddly, good with Garon and Brisa, and adjusting very well to her new home.--we have made quick progress in potty training her.
Just a quick note on her name. When Gary serving his misson in Ecuador, the locals would sometimes call him Mico. He asked around as to the meaning of his new title--it means white monkey and refers to a monkey found in the Amazon. Apparently, their is a similarity between the monkey and Americans although he never saw it. As Mica is white, we thought we would pass the title on to her.
One last thought: When Garon got up this morning, he looked around for Mica and didn't see her. He said, "Mica go bye-bye?" I answered, "No Mica is going to stay with us for a very long time." Garon giggled.

Halloween Treats

Garon and Brisa had so much fun last night. Garon really played the part of Pirate very well, this was the only smile we could get out of him the whole night. Brisa was a bunch of Roses. I was so happy that she actually kept her hat on all night. We had so much fun. We went to our ward's trunk or treat and then went trick or treating around the neighborhood. They both received tons of candy. Daddy and Mommy get 80% right.

Not much of an Update.....
So I decided that I better post something on my blog or no one will check it anymore due to the absolute boringness of it. Not much has been going on with us. Gary started back at school. This is his second year teaching and seems to be getting a better handle on things earlier in the year. We are glad that he is back to his "day job" and the great schedule that goes with it. It is nice to see his face before 7:00pm every night. The kids and me are doing great. Garon is becoming more and more inquisitive and testing all his boundaries. I guess that is what happens when they are two and find that they have a vocabulary and can tell Mom and Dad that that is not what they have planned on doing. Brisa is so "ALL OVER THE PLACE", she is into everything and anything. The other day my mom was over and told me that I don't need to get a dog, Brisa takes care of any food that has fallen on the floor. She seriously has a radar for anything on the floor, it doesn't have to be food. So I am always on her sweeping her mouth and sweeping the floor. I do have to say that I house is much cleaner because of it. I guess I am being taught to take better care of my house. Brisa is getting more and more balance everyday. She is getting to the point where she just wants to stand all the time and walk with support. I give her less then and month and she will be on her own, and then my life will get even more crazy. I can't wait. BRING IT ON!!!!!
I have some cute pictures to post, but my USB drive conductor I think is broken. And since we are extremely poor it might be a while before I am able to put any pictures onto my computer from my camera. SO Sad. I hope we can figure out a way soon because my life will crumble before my eyes if I can't play with my pictures. Oh well...I guess there are more important things in life....Right?

Monsters...
Why does every child, doesn't matter their age, start to think there are monsters in their room. Garon has always been my child that has had a difficult sleeping. He has been doing so good though. But last night, I swear I was in and out of my bed more then I was in it. Between Brisa cutting her top two teeth and Garon claiming that there are monsters, we had a pretty active night. Any ideas to help tell a two year old that monsters don't exsist? Send them my way, I could use it.

15 nights, some ouchies, some sickness, and a whole bunch of fun
Well we finally have returned from our adventures. The kids and I started traveling on June 21, we went to Cedar City, Utah to meet up with my sister and her kids to have some grammy time and some cousin time. We had a very fun and relaxing time. Then Gary met up with us on the road and we hopped in his car and went enroute to Durango, Colorado. Gary's parents live there, this is where Gary grew up. We have spent a week there and have had so much fun. We have been to a beautiful place called "Hermosa Park", where we enjoyed a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa and we also had fun throwing rocks in the river. Brisa kept trying to eat the rocks and would not understand why she was not allowed to eat rocks, she was very confused. We also got to see the Durango-Silverton train come into town and Garon was able to pretend he was the train driver.

"WayTooCool"
This is Garon and his friend Savannah. Savannah and Garon are exactly 1 year apart, but you would never guess. When they were playing today, they both were pretty obsessed with your sunglasses. Here are some adorable pictures that I couldn't resist showing off.

"Fun" Chaos
I have realized how lively having 2 babies only 19 months apart can be. There seems to never be a dull moment. I tend to get to the end of my rope pretty quickly about 9:00pm everynight, but the day is full of memories that I hope I never forget. Someone is always doing something new, shocking, funny, mischievious. Just like every mother out there, life for me can get very tireing, very quickly. I just hope that when I get into a rut like that, I can always pull myself out of it by looking into the eyes of my precious children that have been given to be by my loving Heavenly Father. I hope to never disappoint him. Here is the latess proof of my precious children being funny, cute, and mischievious.
