SIX Years and still loving it

Today is Gary and my 6 year anniversary. It has been a wonderful weekend so far. We celebrated "our" day yesterday because way too much was in our way today. We got to have the entire afternoon and evening to ourselves(with Truper of course). We went to a movie and then to dinner. Gary and I didn't exchange gifts because money is pretty tight, but after dinner Gary thought it would be fun if we went to a store and picked out something for the other in 20 mins or less. It was fun! Gary got me the A&E Pride and Prejudice and I got Gary the gift set of Oceans 11,12,13. I guess we really love movies. We spent less then $50.00, you can't beat that. It really is all me do, put the kids to bed and start a movie.

Tonight we are going to have a "Family Birthday Party". I got this idea from my bestest friend Tifani. For their anniversary, they had a party as a family to celebrate the birth of their family. Tifani, I totally loved the idea and I hope you don't mind me stealing it.

Any who....here are a couple pictures I found of our special day....six years ago

.
Here is a picture of everyone that was at the temple waiting to take a picture

I hope to never forget this day.....I love you sweetheart

Midnight at the ER

This title reminds me of some type of horror movie or something, but it was not the case, exactly. Here's the story:

Yesterday (Thursday) we had a very normal day, just hanging out and doing just the normal things. Everyone was healthy, not one cough or sniffle. I go to my enrichment at 7:00pm and Gary puts the kiddos to bed, still everyone is normal and healthy, not one cough or sniffle (oh did I just repeat myself) You get the hint right: TOTALLY HEALTHY!!! 10:00pm rolls around and Gary and I are finishing up a movie in our room and Brisa coughs 1 or 2 times. Completely normal right, just sleeping and a cough here and a cough there. Then around 11:00pm when I am almost to dreamland I hear a very weird sound, at first I didn't register it, I was almost asleep. Then I hear it again with whimpering cries. I run into Brisa and Garon's room and Brisa is literally gasping for air. It totally and utterly freaked my out. Gary and I immediately grab her and take her down stairs to get a better feel of what is going on. Gary boils some water in hoping that the steam will open up her airways, but it just made her worst because she was fighting it ( you trying putting a 2 year old over a pot of boiling water). She just gets worse, she was very weak and not alert at all. She couldn't even talk. So I called my cousin because I knew she would be up at that hour and immediately she heard Brisa on the phone and said that she sounded absolutely horrible. I told her everything and she said that she is coming over and we are taking her in. We get to the ER and they take her back right away ( weird for an ER, I know) and evaluate her and immediately give her a breathing treatment. The doctor tells me that it is CROUP. I was completely floored. My kids have had croup before and it has never been this bad and it never came on in the middle of nowhere. He told me that he has seen cases where it does just appear that strong. The breathing treatment helped tremendously and she was able to talk again. She never has had a fever and if you saw her today you would think she just has a mild cold with just a cough. It was a very weird experience. The doctor and the nurse on different occasions told me that I did the right thing by bringing her in and they told me when it comes to breathing you just don't mess with it. I am just so thankful that she is okay and I hope to never go through anything like that again, but part of me just knows that this is just the beginning especially with Truper's history.

3 Months Old

Here is my sweet budda baby. He is so big!!!! He is growing up and out way too fast. We are having so much fun with him. Yesterday he rolled over for the first time; (this being the first time because whenever I try to give him tummy time he is trampled by others) it was so fun, both Garon and Brisa clapped like Truper really understood their excitment. Truper is smiling all the time and talks, giggles, and coos quite ferquently. He is very strong baby boy.
