So it is the beginning of March and my kids are going absolutely crazy. Anytime the front door opens, Brisa bolts for it and tries to escape. The sun is out but it is still 20 degrees and we still have about 2 feet of snow on our lawn. I have been letting the kids go outside occasionally, but it is only a matter of minutes and their noses and little hands are bright red. I have never been this excited for spring/summer to come. We have had to be really creative with the things we do inside to keep them from going completely bonkers, and to keep me sane. It is a good thing that Garon has such a vivid imagination. So Garon's birthday is not until the end of the month, to shake things up a little, we did arts and crafts (that is what Garon calls it) and made a count down birthday chain today. I hope we make it to 50-60 degrees soon, because I think my kids are going to go totally crazy. Brisa brings me her shoes and coat about 5 times a day ( no joke) and when it is this cold and blowing like crazy I can't let her out. I know that when it does get nicer outside, we will be out all the live long day. Here are some pictures that I have captured in the last week of my kids experiencing "cabin fever"
.

I have had been wanting to make these monkeys for over a year now, I have had all the supplies, just never got around to it. Finally, Monday I sat down and started. I couldn't believe how fun it was. I finished Garon's in 2 hours and then on Tuesday I made Brisa's. I had to whip out Brisa's because she really wanted Garon's and Garon was being very possessive of his new toy. The reason why I have been wanting to make these Monkeys for so long is because about a year ago I made Garon his twin size blanket and it has sock monkeys all over it. To complete the package, he needed a monkey on his bed as well.
