We are alive.....I PROMISE

Sorry that it has been so long since I last updated.....it has been one CRAZY summer. If I went into everything that happened over the summer in paragraph form it would be really long and you would end up getting bored. So I will just list in order of events:

April:
* Gary got offered a job at Star Valley High School in Afton, Wyoming
* We put our home on the market

*May:
* I took the kids to Colorado for 3 weeks to spend time with Gary's parents, so Gary could concentrate on the end of the school year and Masters

*Gary graduated with high honors from the University of Massachuetts: Masters degree

June:
* We packed up our home and all went to Colorado for 3 weeks

July:
* Came back, and moved to Star Valley, Wyoming
* Gary worked in Rigby, Idaho and commuted 90 miles every weekend to Star Valley.

August:

* Gary still commuting
* Loving our home
* Registered for Kindergarten
* Gary is finally home for good
* Has an offer on Rigby home, we will see what happens there, hopeful.........
* Gary starts new job
* School starts for Gary and Garon

So there you have it......I know it doesn't seem that Crazy in list form, but take my word for it, Crazy Crazy Crazy!!!!!

Here are a few highlights and just cute pictures that I wanted to share:

Garon on his first day of school
Brisa being crazy with Crazy hair

Herpangenea....WHAT????

So.....Let me give you a rundown of my last week or so. Truper had been running a low-grade fever for about a week. I didn't really think anything of it....just a little guy not feeling quite right, teething, a little extra cranky. This is my third kid....I don't run to the doctor anymore....I wait and wait and wait...until I absolutely have to go in. So....I waited and waited and waited until my mother made me take him in. She observed him pulling at his ears alot and since he is prone to having ear infections I just figured that was what it was. So I took him in on Monday (April 19th). I don't know why I did....I guess to make my mom happy. It was the worst visit I have ever had. I saw a PA....that is all I am going to say about that. He saw him for all of 2 secs and just wrote up a prescription for Antibotics. I was fuming mad!!!! I gave him one dose of the medicine and that night his fever was 102 degrees. I stopped the medicine, I am not sure why, it just didn't feel right. So we went thru Tuesday and Wednesday with high fevers that wouldn't break. Wednesday night his fever was so hot.....104 degrees. I was freaked out!!! But we were able to get it down so he would sleep. Thursday morning....the fever was still there but I was able to keep it down to low-grade, never break it, but keep it down. Then it spiked in the afternoon to 104 degrees. I finally was like, something is really wrong here. I called the doctor's office, told them that I wouldn't come 2 ft to their PA.C and asked to see a real doctor ( Sorry, if anyone loves their PA, but if you knew this PA, you would feel the same way) In the doctors office his temp was 103 degrees and his ears looked great....throat looked just alittle red, not enough to cause such high temps. He just had a horrible high temp. The doctor was worried...so he sent me up to the hospital to get a white count. Truper looked so bad, his cheeks were bright red, around his eyes were red and glossy, and he just looked like he wanted to just check-out. The doctor told me to wait in town (because I live about 20 minutes away) and he would call me with the results. That freaked me out, because it was like he knew something that he wasn't telling me. He finally called me and told me that his White count was extremely elavated. A normal well person's white count is 10,000, Truper's was 25,000. So, he sent us to the emergency room to see get a chest x-ray and urine test. He wasn't sure was was wrong, but wanted to do one test at a time. So they do the chest x-ray and it comes out clean. The doctor then thinks that is could be urinary tract infection or kidney infection. We don't have the results back yet on the urine test, but since Truper's fever is so high and we can't break it-----he goes ahead and admits him in to stay in hospital overnight, possibliy a few nights. Poor thing was so sick and they had to put an IV in his arm. He slept horrible the first night. I think I got 10 mins of sleep. The urine test comes back negative. So the doctor just thinks that it is some kind of bacteria infection. We get through the day, his fever finally breaks, but continues to spike to 103-104 degrees. We stay a second night! But his white count is going down-----it went down to 21,000 (I know progress, right). Gary stayed with him the second night and Truper slept was much better because they moved is IV to his foot. But through the night and in the morning Truper had 102-103 temp, but would still break when given medicine. Saturday morning Truper's fever was down and he seemed more perky, but didn't want to eat anything and was fussy. He kept playing with his tongue. When we FINALLY saw the doctor at noon we were hopeful that he would let Truper go home. He said he would like him to stay one more night because his fever is still spiking high and since he is not sure EXACTLY what he has, it would be wise. I was sad, because Truper was getting sick and tried of his room. I mean, how many walks can one take in the hospital. I asked him to looked in his ears again to be be sure and then I asked him to look in his throat----I told him what Truper was doing with is mouth. He looked in his throat----backed up and said "Well I have changed my mine, we have finally found out what is causing his high fevers. It is called 'Herpangenea', it is a viral infection, Truper's throat is bright red and has blisters all over it, so there is no need for him to be here on an IV because Antibotics are not going to help. So it looks like he gets to go home today." YAY....we know what it is!!!!! and poor guy. I asked him how someone gets Herpangenea and he told me just like you would get a cold, it is NOT a form of strep or herpes. He told me it was important for him to be in the hospital with 103-104 degree temps, so I guess it wasn't all for nothing. Now it is Sunday and we took a day off from the world. We all stayed home and stayed in our jammies......I took 3 little naps today!!! Truper fever is gone or is low-grade and he is finally acting like a normal toddler, so normal that he has 3 new bruises on his head :0) So there you have it.....!!! Just so you know We blame it all on Gary.....he gave Truper his name, and Truper is just living up to it!!!!!

"Ben 10" birthday

Garon has recently grown very fond of the cartoon "Ben 10". I couldn't understand why, we don't even have cable. He saw a commerical for it and asked his Grammy to start recording it, and now we have a Ben 10 monster....or I mean Alien monster :) Anyways, he kept telling me he wanted a Ben 10 birthday cake and I kept trying to derail him, but I did not win. He absolutey loves everything about it....he even will tell me all about the omintrix (I don't even know how to spell it, but he knows how to say it perfectly). He got an omin...thingy and 5 of the guys to go with it. He is loving it and he spends all his time lately playing Ben 10. Ladies with little boys....if you don't already know about Ben 10, consider yourself warned.The Birthday BOYMy sad attempt at a "Ben 10" cake
I mean look at it ( totally lopsided) one of these days...one of these daysThis was a special birthday party. Garon got to have his cousins come. Right now they live just 45 mins away, but they usually live very far away....in Hawaii. It was sure special to have them over, because we know in a few months they will not be this close... *sigh* Truper having enjoyed samplings of the frosting
Tru looks like he has a long mulet in this picture, that is just Brisa behind him. Just thought I throw this one in....Here is the story:

Truper goes into my cupboard in the kitchen, pulls out this metal bowl and....
SITS IN IT!!!!

VERY SILLY BOY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRUPER

Born February 12th 2009
5:56 pm

You came into this world and you were ours, but only for a short time we held you and loved you

but you were sick and couldn't breathe very well, you spent your first week in this world being cared for by doctors and nurses in the NICU Finally that week came to an end and they said you were no longer a "Sick Baby", but that you just needed a little help with breathing. You came home still attached to cords and tubes, but that only lasted one week. You were a fighter!!!
Look at those lips.....
OH A strong and healthy boy, your blessing day
